Applications
Use OIML E1 as a primary reference to calibrate other mass standards and use for traceability between national mass standards and OIML E2 weights and lower. OIML E1 is appropriate for calibrating high-precision balances with readability as low as 0.1 mg.

Weights 50kg - 1g have a tapered neck allowing easy handling, polished mirror-like finish allowing scratches or foreign matter to be seen, and bottom of weights are recessed to reduce wear. mg weights are flat with one end turned up for easy handling.
