HAL® is an easy-to-use and portable airway management and CPR trainer. HAL is designed to help you teach basic and advanced airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. With HAL, participants learn to recognise laryngospasm and practice performing emergency tracheostomies and cricothyrotomies.
This upper body offers the following functions:
• Realistic chest with trachea, bronchi and lungs, heart and stomach
• Nominal 18 mm airway
• Mouth, tongue, trachea and oesophagus anatomically accurately modelled
• Fully articulated head, neck and jaw
• Wide, straight, firmer epiglottis and realistic vocal cords
• Soft neck with cricoid cartilage
The following airway measures can be performed:
• Head hyperextension/chin elevation, jaw opening grip and positioning of the head in the sniffing position
• Insertion of an endotracheal tube with cuff and an oesophageal obturator
• Intubation (oral, digital, nasal)
• Sellick manoeuvre
• Observation of unilateral or bilateral lung expansion under positive ventilation pressure
• Surgical insertion of a tracheostomy tube
• Puncture for emergency cricothyrotomy
Supplied with 6 interchangeable neck skins, 3 ring cartilages, membrane strap and transport bag.
