Pulse Oximeters & Capnographs
A pulse oximeter is a non-invasive device used to measure a patient’s blood-oxygen levels. A clip-like device called a probe is placed on the body, usually on a finger or wrist, and it uses light to measure how much oxygen is in the blood. This device is painless and easy to use, allowing a medical professional to quickly and accurately determine if a patient needs extra oxygen. This information can be useful to determine a patient’s status during or after surgery, to understand how effective certain lung medications are in a patient, or to determine if a person can handle increased activity levels. Pulse oximeters are usually portable; however, they come in many different varieties, such as
handheld and tabletop oximeters. We also carry wrist-worn oximeters, finger oximeters, and oximeters with memory so you can store previous readings.
Capnographs are used to measure the carbon dioxide level in an air sample — often from inspired or expired air. This can be useful in helping to diagnose early respiratory and airway disorders. You can get immediate results with small, portable handheld capnographs that are designed to fit easily onto a breathing circuit.
At Medical Device Depot, we carry trusted name brands at some of the lowest prices. Get pulse oximeters and capnographs from BCI, Nonin, Masimo, and other manufacturers. For more information, call us today at 877-646-3300.
